Zone changes okayed for 2.56 lakh sqms

PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has approved zone change for 32 land parcels totally admeasuring 2.56 lakh square metres using provisions under 39 A of the TCP Act.

The TCP Department has sought objections and suggestions if any for the proposed land conversions within a period of 30 days in this regards.

Of the 32 land parcels, 21 are less than 500 square metres.

Change of zone of 25 of these land parcels admeasuring 58,340 sqmtrs has been approved in the Regional Plan for Goa 2021in the villages of Mayem, Latambarcem-Bicholim, Poinguinim, Morjim, Ella-Tiswadi, Cundaim and Usgao.

The Department has also approved change of zone in the Regional Plan for Goa 2021 and the Outline Development Plan (ODP) of Calangute, Candolim Planning Area – 2025 for seven land parcels admeasuring 1,98,265 sqmtr in the villages of Candolim, Corgao, Revora, Issorcim, Panelim and Priol.

Most of these lands are natural cover, orchards, and partly orchards and mostly proposed for settlement.
