Road-widening, FAR irregularities, hill cutting, paddy fields being filled up, trees being felled all in the name of development has irked the common Goan. Many villages in the state are at threat because of this ‘development’ work and it takes away, not only from the livelihoods of the common man, but also from nature. This kind of unplanned development is haunting Goa and doesn’t look like it will stop any time soon. NESHWIN ALMEIDA files the ground report.
