Story: Belonging to a well-do-to family, Alisha (Dacia) gets involved with Ryan (Franky), who is a married man, takes her share of property and flees with her lover.What will be the consequences
Review:
While pursuing her college studies, Alisha, who comes from a well-to-do family, comes in contact with Ryan, who is a widower, via Facebook, and falls in love with him.
Out of the blue, she informs her father, Borges (Trinidade), and brother, Cliff (Victor), a contractor by profession, that she has quit college and will be tying the knot with Ryan through a court marriage.
Borges and Cliff try do their best to show Alisha the light, telling her that Ryan will never be able to keep her content. But she pays no heed and goes away with the property papers and gold ornaments.
At Ryan’s house, he informs Alisha that he has an ailing mother (Dolly), who turned insane after his wife’s death. Alisha decides to care for her mother-in-law and in due course she learns that Ryan has actually been torturing his mother intentionally.
She also comes to know that Ryan is a womaniser who dupes girls and takes away their possessions. Meanwhile, Cliff, who is worried about his sister, falls for his secretary Sasha (Ofelia) in one tense moment and there are talks of marriage.
Will Alisha face the treatment her mother-in-law is facing? Who assists her in moments of adversity? Under what circumstances will Alisha and Sasha meet?
Comedian Sally’s tiatr ‘Atanchim Bhurgim’ focuses on the stubbornness on the part of the children of today towards their parents and the dire consequences. When stiff opposition follows from both ends, the misery encountered by children has been highlighted in the second half of the drama.
Trinidade stands tall in his paternal character. Dacia is apt in her character, displaying varied emotions. Victor and Ofelia extend good support in their respective roles. Franky is ideal in his negative character, while Dolly wins sympathy for her convincing motherly role. She is equally good as a nurse in the concluding scene. Agnel de Dabolim and Joe de Dicarpale deliver well with brief entries.
In the comic acts, Sally, Marcus, Aston and Reza form a perfect quartet for some laughter pills. But among all, Reza is the centre of attraction as Rukmini, with a typical dialogue delivery.
In the category of songs, Dacia, Soccor de Santa Cruz, Agnel de Dabolim, Joe de Dicarpale entertain with solos, while Dacia and Agnel, Soccor and Reza render duets and Marcus and Aston render a duo. Aston/Agnel/Victor entertains with a trio.
