PANJIM: The Panjim town police have arrested three persons including two minors of robbing a security guard and injuring him while snatching his wallet Tuesday night.
Agnel Fernandes Agostinho (20) and two others aged 17 years are booked for the offence.
The incident happened at about 8.30 pm Tuesday when the three youth approached Bharat Gogoi, a security guard at T B Hospital and snatched his wallet containing Rs 2,200 cash and a cell phone.
Panjim police inspector Rajendra Prabhudessai said the accused were chased by locals after the victim, hailing from Assam raised an alarm.
“The accused were caught near Joggers’ Park at Altinho and handed over to the police,” Prabhudessai said.
While Agnel is lodged in the police lock-up, the minors are sent to remand home Apna Ghar and they are likely to undergo ossification test to confirm the age.
