MAPUSA: In another match played at Tembi ground, Anjuna, Adarsh Yuvak Sangh, Saligao scored a narrow 2-1 win over Sinquerim SC, Mayem.
Both the teams started on attacking note, but it was Sinquerim SC which broke the deadlock in 16th minute through Chandan Govekar.
At half-time Sinquerim SC led by one goal.
In second half Adarsh scored the equaliser through Yogesh Mayekar in the 44th minute assisted by Michael Dias.
Sinquerim came close in taking the lead through Karan Hoble, but his header hit the crossbar. In the dying minutes of the game, Yogesh Mayekar scored to seal victory for Adarsh Yuvak Sangh.
