PANJIM: Albert Developers Tigers won by a narrow 4-run victory over Aarvi Korgao in the second semi-final of the Albert Developers Sports Club 1st All-Goa season ball cricket tournament play at SAG ground, Panjim, on Saturday.
Albert Developers Tigers set up a target of 112 runs before they were bowled out in the 19th over. Mhuktar Kadri (28) and Gauresh Khandeparkar (20) were the top scorers for the hosts.
Aarvi Korgao bowlers put up a formidable performance to restrict the opposition with Mahesh picking three wickets. Anikesh Desai and Anush Kerkar managed to pick two wickets each. However in the 2nd innings, the batsmen couldn’t do much as they managed to get only 108 runs on the scoreboard with the help of Suraj Dongre (28), Swapnil Malik (19).
Albert Developers Tigers fielded well and scored the narrow win as Sunny Divkar picked three wickets while Muktar Kadri picked two.
Sunny Divkar of Albert Developers Tigers was awarded the Man-of-the-Match.
Earlier in the first semi final, Panjim Sports Club defeated KCC Morjim by 42 runs.
Electing to bat first, Panjim SC put a massive total of 201 runs in the 20 overs.
Tushar Narvekar (74) and Ilyas Naroo (47) were the players who added to the score.
KCC Morjimended up with only142 runs on the scoreboard. Rajendra Dabolkar (39) and Anish Shetgaonkar (33) were the top scorers for the Morjim side.
