PANJIM: Goa’s Angela Rajan Naik from Borda-Margao and P. Anand from Ponda will be representing India at the Asian Taekwondo Championship 2016 to be held in Manila, Philippines, from April 16 to 20.
Angela will be participating in the taekwondo poomsae while Anand in the Kyorugi events — Asian qualification for Rio Olympics and Asian Taekwondo Championship.
Recently, Angela bagged gold medal at the 8th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championship, whereas Anand has bagged gold medal at the SAG championship in under-87 kgs category.
The Asian medal has eluded Angela since long and vows that this time she will give in her best to make India and Goa proud.
