Anjuna Gymkhana score fluent 2-0 win

GOA VELHA: Anjuna Gymkhana blanked Goan Warriors Football Club 2-0 to move into the quarter finals of the 13th London Trophy organised by Goa Velha Sports Club and played at Goa Velha Sports Club ground, on Tuesday.
In a fast paced encounter, Goan Warriors Football Club missed an opportunity to surge ahead in the 10th minute through Chetan Shirodkar whose power packed shot hit the side netting off a Santil Mulgaonkar pass.
Chetan Shirodkar was the culprit again for Goan Warriors FC when he blasted over from close off a Tushar Dessai through ball in the 22nd minute.
In the 28th minute, Vinayak Mulgaonkar of Anjuna Gymkhana nicely floated the ball to Maruti Horizon who however headed over the Goan Warriors goal. 
Both the teams trooped out at the breather without any score.
In the second half, Anjuna Gymkhana came with a well built attack as Nitesh Salgaonkar cut past a couple of Goan Warriors defenders and flashed the ball across the Warriors goal but to Anjuna’s dismay Faheez Mohammad with an open goal in front of him tapped the ball on to the goalpost which was eventually cleared in the 37th minute.

Anjuna Gymkhana finally broke the deadlock in the 55th minute through a brilliantly taken free-kick by Rohan Kamble which had no answer from the Warriors keeper Madhu Salgaonkar. 
In the 66th minute, Faheez Mohammad made the issue safe for Anjuna Gymkhana and made it 2-0 when he intercepted a pass from the Goan Warriors defender Akash Kudnekar.
Tushar Dessai, Akash Kudnekar of Goan Warriors FC and Somshekar Kumbar, Rohan Kamble of Anjuna Gymkhana were cautioned by referee Shivram Thanekar.
