Arpora oust Nerul in semis

Arpora Sporting Club scored a narrow 3-2 win over Nerul Sports Club to move into the finals of Xetrapal all-Goa inter-village football tournament organised by Xetrapal Sports Club of Oxel, at Oxel ground Siolim on Sunday. They led 2-0 at the break.
Gaurish Naik opened the account for Arpora in the 14th minute as he dribbled past a Nerul defender and placed the ball past the rival goalkeepr. Striker Rajesh Pomburpekar doubled the lead in the 26th minute through a solo effort.
Crossing over, Nitesh Naik added the third goal for Arpora in the 46th minute off a free-kick.
Umakant Vaingankar netted for Nerul in the 56th minute. Two minutes later, Nerul striker Janifer Clemente scored off a corner kick by Abhijit Govekar.
In the finals, Arpora Sporting will play against Calangute Association.
