PANJIM:Arshia Gautam will meet Siya Kakodkar while Rudra Dukle will face Shourya Joshi, in the girls and boys U-13 singles finals respectively, at the All-Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament organised by Mormugao Badminton Club, at Deepvihar High School, Headland Sada, Mormugao, on Sunday.
In the U-15 girls singles the contest will be between Yasmin Sayed and Lydia Barreto while in U-15 boys singles, Sushil Nayak will face the challenge of Shourya Joshi.
Earlier, in the semi-finals of the U-13 girls, Arshia Gautam bt Rhucha Bhobe 21-14, 19-21, 21-9 while Siya Kakodkar bt Manpreet Kaur 21-9, 21-15.
In the U-13 boys Rudra Dukle bt Yash Halarnkar 21-12, 21-14; Shourya Joshi bt Aashutosh Dhavalikar 21-18, 21-11.
While, in the U-15 girls Yasmin Sayed bt Aahana Nayak 21-9, 21-18 and Lydia Barreto bt Sachi Dhavalikar 21-6, 21-3.
The U-15 boys saw Sushil Nayak bt Aashutosh Dhavalikar 21-10, 21-15 and Shourya Joshi bt Tejas Tendulkar 21-10, 21-17 while Anjana Kumari bt Sachi Dhavalikar 21-11, 21-13; Yasmin Sayed bt Rhea Mallya(walkover) in the U-19 girls.
In the U-19 boys Aashrun Gautam bt Jospeh Anthony 21-10, 21-14 and Yash Kunkoliekar bt Jaideep Singh 21-12, 21-14.
In the men’s singles Floyd Araujo bt Sanath Kamat 21-12, 21-12; Aashrun Gautam bt Pankaj Naik 15-21, 21-16, 21-11 while in the men’s doubles Floyd Araujo and Darwin Barreto bt Parag Chauhan and Dattaprasad Parab 21-11, 21-16; Navneet Nasnodkar and Sunny Sawant bt Pankaj Naik and Sanath Kamat 21-15, 21-19.
The veterans 45 + singles saw Manoj Humraskar bt Oscar Silveira 15-21, 21-15, 21-19; Wilfred Jacques bt Phillip Barbosa 21-10, 21-15.
In the veterans 45 + doubles Vaman Fallary and Ayoob CK bt Manoj Humraskar and Bobby Talaulikar 21-8, 21-11; Oscar Silveira and Leonel Fernandes bt Ashok Gautam and Wilfred Jacques 22-20, 21-14.
