PANJIM: GFDC Pernem defeated GFDC Colvale, 3-1 in a U-13 boy’s match at St Joseph High School ground, Pernem in the on-going GFDC Rising Star Football Festival, on Wednesday.
The goal scorers for Pernem were Suryakant Konadkar, Aryan Kambli and Soham Salgaonkar. The lone scorer for Colvale was Yash Chodankar. Aryan was declared as the player of the match.
In another match, GFDC Siolim thrashed GFDC Arpora, 9-3 in a U-13 boy’s match at Siolim ground. In the U-10 boys match at the same venue GFDC Siolim and GFDC Arpora drew, 4-4.
In Zone 3, GFDC Socorro defeated GFDC Moira, 3-0 in a U-13 boys match played at Moira ground. At the end of the first half the score was a goalless draw. Ethan Da costa secured his brace and Vishal Butte netted one for the Socorro side. The player of the match was Shlok Pai from GFDC Socorro.
In Zone 4, GFDC Sanquelim thumped GFDC Mayem, 4-1 in a U-13 boys match played at Sanquelim. Prajay Gawade and Ramnath Parab secured a brace each whereas Prathamesh Kinalkar was the lone scorer for Mayem. The player of the match was Kaushik Malik from Sanquelim centre.
In Zone 5, GFDC Dona Paula registered an exciting 4-1 win against GFDC Marcel in a U-13 girls match played at Marcel ground. Karen Estrocio scored all the four goals for Dona Paula and was adjudged as the player of the match. Riya Folkar scored the lone goal for Marcel centre.
