VARCA: Assolda Veterans blanked Vasco Veterans 2-0 to move into the final of the 1st All Goa Veterans Soccer organised by Texas Boy’s Varca, at Varca football ground, on Saturday.
A cross from Alex Alvares was neatly placed by Presley Pereira in the 13th minute to give Assolda Veterans the lead.
In the second half a long ball from Cajy Fernandes to Alex Alvares who dribbled past Derrick Pereira and pass to Presley Pereira who shot straight into the net to complete his brace giving no chance to the Vasco Veterans keeper John Fernandes.
Vasco tried to get back in the game but fumbled with the chances which were created
Uday Naik of Vasco Veterans was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match.
