MAPUSA: Assonora United Sports Club breezed their way past PVC Parra with a 5-3 win in the GFA’s 2nd Division League, fourth round match played at Duler Stadium, here, on Saturday.
At half-time Assonora United Sports Club led 3-2.
After today’s win Assonora United Sports Club have nine points from four matches while PVC Parra has four points.
In the early 3rd minute of play, Assonora United Sports Club took the lead when Dikshay Sarop scored off a penalty kick, 1-0.
A minute later, Parra equalised in similar style, with Waldren Martins scoring from the penalty spot after Marvoti Horizon was viciously tackled inside the 18-yard box, 1-1.
The goal rush continued to everyone’s delight with Assonora United once again taking the lead when Kanaya guided in Stepelton’s pass, 2-1.
After some midfield action PVC Parra managed to once again level terms when Alister set up Marvoti who danced his way past the defenders before slotting the ball home, 2-2.
Five minutes before the half-time whistle, Dikshay made it 3-2 in favour of Assonora United from a close range strike.
In the very first minute of changing ends, PVC Parra got in the equaliser when Manuel Rodrigues guided in Marvoti’s pass, 3-3.
Assonora United did not give up and went on to fire in two more goals with Kanaya and Stepelton scoring for the team, 5-3.
