The first half was blank. Betalbatim SC went out all guns blazing against UC Benaulim with Austin Fernandes in the very second minute making a move in the rival goal but defender Meldon blocked his move.
In the ninth minute, Aniston Fernandes tested the UC Benaulim goalkeeper, who fisted away for a corner kick.
Keneth Fernandes made an attempt for UC Benaulim but his move was easily tackled by Austin of Betalbatim SC in the box in the 19th minute.
Change of ends saw Betalbatim SC change the script on the fore front with Austin and Aniston changing guards from left to right flanks on several occasions which change the fortune of Betalbatim SC.
In the 38th minute, Austin fired a bullet shot which travelled straight into the nylons of UC Benaulim to open an account. Aniston doubled the lead in the 42nd minute.
Austin and Aniston completed their braces in the 58th and 68th minutes respectively.
UC Benaulim made lot of attempts to score goals but could not penetrate the rival defence.
