AMBULOR-VERNA: Bamborda Boys defeated Ambulor Boys 9-8 via the tie-breaker to earn their place in the final of the United Boys of Ambulor 4th inter-ward football tournament, at Verna Panchayat ground, on Thursday.
The teams started on equal footings maintaining ball possessions in brief spells and having their share of chances, but their strikers failed to capitalise.
Bamborda’s Daniel missed an early chance to put his side ahead while Romeo missed a chance to score for Ambulour in the 34th minute.
In the tie-breaker, Bamborda Boys proved to be better shooters and netted through Daniel, Sydney, Romario, Frazer, Jeyson, Bramley, Aliston, Jaison and Regan while for Santano, Romeo, Elroy, Desmon, Braven, Vellinston, Valanko and Elvis scored for Ambulor. Now Bamborda Boys will meet Mugrupoi Boys in the final on April 6.
