An injury time goal by Denzil Rogtao enabled Betalbatim Sporting Club to beat Young Strikers, Benaulim and march into the finals of 25th Fraxier inter-village football tournament organised by Young Strikers, Benaulim at St John Baptist ground, Dando-Benaulim on Thursday.
Betalbatim were miles ahead of their rivals but a resolute Benaulim defense frustrated the rivals.
After change of ends, Young Strikers put up a improved display and twice Ozie Fernandes’ tries were blocked by the Betalbatim goalkeeper.
With the match heading for tie-breaker, Denzil struck the match-winner following a flag kick taken by Bonnie Fernandes.
