AGENCIES, TAMIL NADU: Woman Grandmaster Bhakti Kulkarni is now just a point away from retaining the 46th National Women Chess Championship 2019, organised by Castle Chess Academy, at CPS, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, on Thursday.
Bhakti, Goa Carbon goodwill ambassador is now on 8.5 points at the end of Round 9 following her win over WIM Michelle Catherine.
Bhakti is representing the Air India team and will play her 10th round match against second placed Priyanka K. Priyanka K (2217) is on second spot along with WIM Vantika with seven points.
