CAC Cansaulim make light work of Areal, enter semis

Agnelo scores a brace while Veegan nets the third for the winners; Camotio pulls one back for Areal

CALATA- MAJORDA: CAC Cansaulim made easy work to defeat Sao Jose De Areal 3-1 and move into the semi-finals of the 30th St Rock’s Super Soccer, organised by St Rocks YC, at St Rock ground Calata-Majorda, on Thursday.
It was CAC Cansaulim who attacked from the word go and in one such move in the third minute Roysal Teodosio fed Veegan Ferrao but the latter’s shot narrowly missed the mark. 
In the 6th minute, Veegan Ferrao’s header missed the target by inches. 
In the 10th minute Areal goalkeeper Joseph Monteiro came up with a spectacular save to deny Ashley Soares. 
CAC Cansaulim forged ahead in the 16th minute through Veegan Ferrao’s placement shot of an assist from Agnelo D’Souza. 
CAC doubled the lead in the 26th minute when Roysal Teodosio played a defence splitting pass to Agnelo D’Souza who scored with ease to make it 2-0.
At lemon break the score was 2-0 in favour of CAC Cansaulim. 
In the second half Areal could have reduced the margin in the 36th minute but Bersal Veigas’ free-kick from top of the box kissed the upright and went out of play.
Later Agnelo D’Souza made it 3-0 in favour of CAC Cansaulim in the 40th minute. 
In the dying moments Alston Camotio pulled one back for Areal.  
CAC Cansaulim will meet Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda in the semi-finals on March 31.
