BENAULIM:CAC Cansaulim stunned St Anthony SC, Assolda 2-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 14th Super Soccer inter-village football tournament organised by United Club of Benaulim, at Sao Joao Baptist ground Dando-Benaulim, on Saturday.
Assolda missed two great sitters through Rosario Fernandes and Frazier Fernandes as both shot wide in the 6th and 12th minutes respectively.
It was Cansio Soares who opened the account for Cansaulim in the 27th minute off Chadwick Furtado’s assist.
After the break, substitute Veegan Ferrao doubled the lead for Cansaulim in the 41st minute.
