MAPUSA: Calangute Association and Salgaocar FC were locked in a goalless draw in the Goa Professional League, at Duler stadium, here, on Tuesday.
Both the teams having won their last league match started aggressively but both the defense held their fort in the 90 minutes of play.

In the first 30 minutes of the match, both teams had just an attempt at each other goal.
Salgaocar’s Mark Carvalho darted inside the 18-yard box but saw his grounder travel just past the goal post.
At the other end, it was the same story where Calangute’s U-20 Jovito Fernandes hoodwinked the left back and moved dangerously inside the penalty box but saw his placement miss the target narrowly.
In the 36th minute, a fierce right footer from just outside the penalty box by Cameroon Junior Carret travelled the top corner of the goal but was grabbed by Salgaocar’s custodian Jason D’Mello.
On crossing ends, once again Salgaocar’s coach Levino Pereira brought two substitutions Sidharth Kundaikar and Antush Moniz and later last match goal scorer Fhezer Gomes.
Fhezer Gomes saw two of his goal-bound strikes in the 59th and 78th minutes being brilliantly blocked by Calangute’s keeper Presley Mascarenhas.
Calangute’s defender Melvin Lobo saw his smart header off a corner rebound off the crossbar.
Moises D’Sa of Calangute Association received the man of the match award from the hands of Mauricio Almeida and Omkar Vaingankar-GFA’s Executive Committee members.
