MAPUSA: Calangute Association SC registered a comfortable 2-0 win over Raia Sporting Club in the Candolim Panchayat Cup organised by Candolim SC at Dr Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim, on Friday.
Calangute Association dictated terms but failed to score through Velito Cruz who hit the side netting, while Achiles Fernandes strike came off the horizontal bar.
On crossing over, finally in the 55th minute, Domnic Fernandes scored for Calangute Association with a heat placement.
In the very next minute in the 55th minute of play, Richard Cardoz’s power-packed shot gave no chance to the Raia SC goalkeeper Jake Madeira 2-0.
