CANDOLIM: Candolim Sports Club scored a huge 4-0 win over Arpora Sporting in the GFA’s U-14 League match, at Candolim ground, on Tuesday.
At halftime Candolim led by a 1-0 margin. The goal came through the boots of Louis D’Souza.
Crossing over, Anju Kuttikar, Webston D’Souza and Acton Nam scored a goal each to round off the score tally to 4-0.
At Nachinola ground FC Goa scored a comfortable 2-0 win over St. Anthony’s Marna Siolim.
In another match, Quitula SC Aldona defeated Kelbai SC 2-0 at Quitula ground, Aldona. At half time the score was 0-0.
Quitula should have scored at least three goals in the first half , but their strikers Tarak Khanolkar, Fraiser Fernandes missed easy scoring chances.
Quitula scored their first goal in the 63rd minute off a header from Krish Naroji. In the 70th minute Atmaram Jadhav scored to give his team a 2-0 win.
