MAPUSA: Chapora Yuvak Sangh sailed into the final of Milagres Cup as they registered a 5-3 win via the tie-breaker over St Anthony’s Sports Club Marna, at Duler Stadium organised by Milagres Sports Club Mapusa, on Monday.
St Anthony’s SC Marna scored their first goal in the 21st minute as Sahil Pomburpekar grounded a a neat placement off a cross by Sherwin Lobo.
On crossing over Chapora came in with new ideas and found an equaliser through Faheez Mohammad of a cross by Nitesh Salgoankar in the 53rd minute of play.
With the teams levelled 1-1 at the end of the regulation the tie-breaker was implemented where for Chapora Yuvak Sangh colts Rohan Kambli , Dinesh Moraskar, Nitesh Salgoankar and Aniket Dabholkar scored on target while St Anthony’s Marna scored through Dalesh Pednekar and Sahil Pomburpekar.
Chapora will now meet Dunes SC in the final on July 20.
