MARGAO: Sirvodem Sports Club registered a thumping 5-0 win over CRSC, Navelim in the Salcete Zone GFA Under-16 League, at Sinquetim ground, Navelim, Friday.
Sirvodem Sports Club led 2-0 at the break.
In the opening session, Sirvodem dominated the game and pushed their opponents in the back foot. Cibber Pereira broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when he punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
With the early lead, Sirvodem tormented the rival defence with well orchestrated raids. A minute later Joeble Pereira doubled the lead with a snap shot.
The second half did not bring any respite to the sagging morale of CRSC team as their opponents attacked from both the flanks. Ganesh Harijan inflated the tally in the 61st minute.
Three minutes later, Aldrich Fernandes put the issue beyond doubt when he slotted past the rival goalkeeper with stiff grounder.
At the other hand, CRSC were struggling to contain rampaging Sirvodem forwards as they meekly surrendered their challenge without giving any fight. Selwyn Miranda drove the last nail into the rival coffin in the 72nd minute.
With this win, Sirvodem Sports Club took their tally 11 points without conceding a goal.
At Dramapur ground, Union of Chinchinim Villagers drubbed Navelim Villagers Union 4-1.
