MAPUSA: Holiday Club Arpora registered a thumping 9-1 win over El Shaddai S&C in the GFA’s Division III League Bardez Zone match played at Siolim ground, on Monday.
Chirag Mardolkar stole the limelight netting four goals. Cyrus D’Souza opened the flood gates scoring in the very 7th minute of play with a neat placement 1-0. Joster D’Souza (2), Rakesh Samal, Sahil Morajkar and Chirag Mardolkar added their names to the scorer’s list.
Mohan Chawan netted the consolation goal for El Shaddai S&C, 9-1.
At Moira ground, Verem United Sports Club registered a well deserved 3-0 win over Nerul SC.
At the breather, Verem United were leading by two goals cushion with Gopal Shirodkar and Francis Fernandes scoring for the winners, while Govind Mahale pumped in the third goal after the lemon break, 3-0.
