RAIA: Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna, thrash Mahatma Gandhi Secondary School, Lakshadweep, 4-0, in the 63rd Subroto Mukerjee international football tournament held in New Delhi, on Monday.
Fr Agnel dominated the game right from the word go. Walton Fernandes scored four goals assisted by Alex Fernandes and Jayden Pinto, Alton Fernandes.
The score at the lemon break was 1-0. The Goan team next play Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh in the group stage. They were ably guided by their physical education teacher Filbert Pereira and coach Luis Baretto.
At the game, Fr Agnelo Gomes, director of Agnel Technical Education Complex, Verna and Fr Isaac Fernandes, manager, were present.
