MAPUSA: Unbeaten Churchill Brothers FC clinched the 6th Edition Vedanta Women’s Football League organised by Goa Football Association as they drubbed Sinquerim SC by 4-0 margin in the concluding league match played at Duler stadium here on Monday.
Churchill Brothers eves went into the breather with a three goals lead with Aniela Baretto netting a brace while Jozima Fernandes scoring the third goal.

With the match just in the sixth minute, Aniela Fernandes scored from a goal mouth melee, while Joizima Fernandes made it 2-0 in the 25th minute with an adroit placement.
As the match progressed, after a number of missed chances and saves by Sinquerim keeper Dorothy Alphonso, Churchill’s Aniela netted her brace.
On crossing over, Churchill Brothers carried on their domination but managed to score only once through substitute Jossel Mascarenhas who darting inside the penalty box drove a stiff grounder to round off the score tally to 4-0.
Aniela Fernandes received the best player award from Babli Mandrekar.
The second place was secured by Compassion SC, while Kelbai SC secured the third position.
