ZUARINAGAR: Cortalim Villagers & Sports Welfare Association registered a comfortable 5-2 win over BITS Pilani in the Goa Football Association Second Division League match played at BITS ground, on Wednesday.
Cortalim led 1-0 at the break after Meuren Cruz gave them a 26th minute lead. However, BITS came back stronger in the second half as Gurudain Madan scored a brace in a span of fourteen minutes to put BITS ahead in the game.
But there was more drama as Cortalim made it all square through Eldrich D’Silva within two minutes in the 69th minute. Cortalim went all out in the dying minutes of the game and netted three more goals in the injury time through Vasim Inamdar, an Amar Shetty own goal and Roycen Azavedo strike.
Meanwhile at Chicalim ground, Mormugao United Cultural and Sports Club trounced Chicalim Sports Club 4-0.
