SAO JOSE DE AREAL: Curtorim Gymkhana blanked Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda 2-0 to lift the 39th Areal Panchayat Cup inter village football tournament, organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat ground, recently.

Curtorim Gymkhana netted two quick goals through Aliston Fernandes in the 24th minute and James Fernandes in the 42nd minute.
The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 60,000 and runners-up received Rs 40,000 plus trophies
Cruz Silva, MLA of Velim constituency was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Rev Fr Damaciano Carvalho, Parish priest of St Joseph Church, Sao Jose de Areal, assistant parish priest Fr Movin Menezes, ZP member of Curtorim constituency Michelle Rebello, Ex ZP Moreno Rebello, VP Sarpanch Joycee Dias and other officials.
