Sporting Club of Davorlim trounced Navelim villagers Union 4-1 to advance into the finals of Dalton Fernandes memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Sarzora Sports Club at Government school ground, Sarzora on Friday. The winners led 1-0 at half time.
Davorlim dominated the game and never allowed their opponents to strike rhythm. Davorlim surged ahead in the first session through Rosebud Gomes.
Changing over, Rosebud Gomes was in thick action as he pumped in two more goals to complete his hat trick. Venson Figureirdo of Davorlim increased the tally.
Navelim finally found the target through Jose Colaco to reduce the margin.
