PANJIM: Dempo Juniors football team registered their second straight win in the ongoing GFA U-16 tournament (Ilhas Zone) with a convincing 15-0 win over St. Estevam Sports Club at the St Cruz grounds, Thursday.
In a one sided match Dempo Juniors battered the St Estevam defense to take a lead of 9-0 at the breather.
St Estevam SC came back strongly in the second half and was close to reducing the margin on a couple of occasions but were unsuccessful. However, Dempo Juniors won the match 15-0 at the final whistle.
Macan Pereira scored 3 goals alongwith Omkar Sawant (4), Ronald Martins (3), Akash Munshi (2), Devesh Malvankar (2) and Lionel Fernandes (1).
In an earlier match played at Taleigao on Tuesday, Dempo Juniors got better of Sao Miguel de Taleigao by 6-1.
