PANJIM: Dempo SC outplayed Ronit SC 10-1 in the GFA’s U-18 league match at Agassaim ground, on Friday.
Aaron Rodrigues and Omkar Sawant scored a brace each while Kapil Hoble, Vineet Budge, Ronald Martins, Osmiro Trindade, Edwin and Floyd Pereira scored a goal each for The Golden Eagles. Prakash pulled one back for Ronit SC.
Our Mapusa correspondent adds: At Duler Stadium, Mapusa, Goa Velha SC grounded Pilerne SC 5-1. At halftime Goa Velha led 2-1.
Jesroy Fernandes opened the floodgates for Goa Velha in the 10th minute when he latched onto a cross by Chandan Gawas before firing the ball into the far corner of Pilerne nylons.
Pilerne exerted tremendous pressure and managed to find the precious equalizer in the 24th minute with Macan Pereira scoring from the penalty spot.
Goa Velha took charge and shot into the lead when Haston D’Sa made no mistake to score from the penalty spot.
Crossing over, Goa Velha scored through Chandan Gawas (2), Aakash Kutilkar.
In the final quarter, Pilerne custodian Alex Pereira came up with good saves to deny Chandan and Kunal from further inflating the margin.
