RAIA: Dicarpale SC won the 16th St Anthony Festival Cup 2024 defeating Guardian Angel SC 6-5 via tie-breaker in the final played at Assolda ground, recently.
At the end of regulation time, both teams settled for a 1-1 draw.

Ajay Raj of Dicarpale SC gave the lead to his team in the 45th minute, while Guardian Angel SC’s Jaison Dais levelled the match in the 60th minute.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Dicarpale SC netted through Sahil lmandar, William Niasso, Royson Colaco, Myron Rocha and Ajay Raj and for Guardian Angel SC Godwin D’Costa, Fedrick Fernandes, Godwin Fernandes and Rayan Menezez were on target.
Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral was the chief guest, Zilla Panchayat member Sidarth Gauns Dessai was the guest of honour, while Goa Football Association President Dr Caitano Fernandes, GFA Vice President Anthony Pango and Parish Priest Paroda church Fr Peter D’Souza were the special invitees.
GFA former committee members Cosme Oliveira, Petwin Fizardo, Costa Paul Rodrigues, Andrew Ferrao, Royala Fernandes, Assolda Village Panchayat Panch Tony Fenanades, Manoj Naik and match commissioner Melvin DaCosta were also present.
Assolda Sarpanch Custodio Fernandes welcome the guests, while Francisco Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
