PANJIM: Dicarpale S.C. defeated Wilred Leisure by 5-4 via tie breaker to move into the finals of Cavelossim Panchayat Cup 2014.
Wilred took the lead in the 16th minute through a free kick by Joaquim Carvalho. Wilred were dominating the match however a moment of madness by the Wilfred keeper brought Dicarpale back into the match.
Wilfred keeper came a long way off his line and made a poor clearance as Dicarpale striker Bonny Niasso chipped the keeper from long distance to make it 1-1.
In the second half both teams went all out for a win. First powerful long range shot by Joquim Carvalho of Wilred was smartly punched out by Dicarpale keeper Sachin Astekar. Then on the counter Dicarpale Venson Figueredo rattled the crossbar but could not find the back of the net.
In the tie breaker Bonny Niasso, Clinton Niasso, Brian Furtado, Venson Figueredo and Maclon Colaco scored for Dicarpale while Bruno Fernandes Nevile Fernandes and Joquim Carvalho scored for Wilred.
