VARCA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda edged past Chandor Sports Club 1-0 to enter into the final of Varca Panchayat Cup, organised by Varca Sports Club, at Varca ground, on Wednesday.
At lemon break Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda were leading 1-0.
Both the teams started the game on a cautious note and had equal number of goal scoring opportunities.
Chandor SC in the 28th minute had a chance to score a goal after the referee pointed at the dreaded spot however Terence Barbosa of DBO, Fatorda saved the penalty kick taken by Benson Fernandes.
Just before the half time, DBO, Fatorda scored a goal through Nicolau Borges off a free-kick.
Terence Barbosa was adjudged the man of the match.
