PANJIM: Dona Paula, Arambol, Navelim and Utorda emerged winners in the quarter-finals of the U-13 girls category GFDC Rising Stars Football Festival held recently.
Dona Paula beat Mayem 6-0 at St Anthony’s Church ground, Siolim. The girls from Dona Paula took the lead in the 16th minute through a goal scored by Shayna Shirodkar.
Few minutes later, Tanvi Muraounkar scored two quick goals, 3-0. Crossing over they score more three goals to take the final tally to 6-0.
In another match played at the same venue Arambol beat Parra by a solitary goal. The first half was goalless. There was no score at the break. In the second half, Pearl Fernandes scored the lone goal of the game.
A fine hat-trick by Vienna ensured Utorda a 4-0 win against Uguem at Assolna ground. Vinoshka scored the other goal for her side in the 32nd minutes.
In another match, Navelim registered a 3-1 win over Collem.
