VASCO: The FC Goa officially unveiled the team at Tilak Maidan, Vasco with fans making a beeline to get a glimpse of their stars.
Crowds were seen in and around the stadium looking to get a picture or an autograph from the stars. The fans in the stands were overjoyed as the FC Goa team kicked footballs into the stands which were eagerly grabbed by the young and old alike.
Carlos Gonsalves, who liked presenting himself as the official cheer drummer for FC Goa looked forward to beating the drum at all the matches FC Goa played. “I will electrify the stadium with the beating of the drums,” said Carlos. Romeo Fernandes, later joined the drummer as he entertained the crowd singing a song composed for Forca Goa.
Jonathan D’Souza from Vasco, was another die hard FC Goa fan who looked eagerly to capture the moment. Impressed with the star studded the line-up the fan hoped that the team would win the title. “The team looks smart and confident. This season our hopes are high and FC Goa look in good nick to win the title,” said Jonathan.
Roy Heredie another FC Goa fan said his support for FC Goa was unconditional. “It is “Amchem Goem team”. I will back the team to the hilt as it’s our very own Goan outfit” said Roy.
Jowat Rocha of Assolna, complimented the team and felt the squad had it in them to emerge winners. “The team looks smart to win the final. We wish the team luck and best wishes to bring home the title,” said Jowat.
Sheldon Cardosa from Sao Jose de Areal looked upbeat as the squad warmed up for their training. “The squad looks tough and ready to take on strong opponents. I think this season Zico’s men will surely make an impact,” said Sheldon.
