NAVELIM: Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna defeated Our Lady of Health HS, Cuncolim 7-6 via the tie-breaker to emerge victorious at the Sr Bernadine Memorial All-Goa 7-a-side inter-school football tournament for U-17 boys, organised by Perpetualites Past Pupils Assocation (PPPA) recently.
The match was locked in a 0-0 goal-line at the end of normal regulation time. In the resultant tie-breaker Fr Agnel HS proved to be better shooters.
The winning team was awarded the Rolling Trophy, cash prize, medals and certificates. The runners-up were also received a trophy, cash prize, medals and certificates.
Avertano Furtado, MLA, Navelim constituency was the chief guest while Sr Santana Goes SFN was the guest of honour.
