PANJIM: Father Agnel Higher Secondary School, Verna starred on the second day of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports Football Competition registering a 6-1 victory in what was an easy qualifying round match against Kendriya Vidyalaya HSS.
Kendriya Vidyalaya were put on the back foot in the 8th minute itself when Joyson Gauncar scored for Father Agnel with a well taken strike from just inside the box.
Father Agnel HSS doubled their lead in the 16th minute when Alistor Costa found space inside the box to coolly slot home past the overlooking keeper.
Father Agnel HSS scored their third in the 20th minute through Savio Calado to make it 3-0.
The second half saw substitute Avner Barreto scored in the 46th minute while Alric D’Cunha added to the tally.
Kendriya Vidyalaya managed to grab a consolation goal through Ayush in the 59th minute.
Father Agnel HSS found another goal through Viven D’Souza to complete the 6-1 rout of their opponents.
