Arpora- Nagoa soccer
PANJIM (HSD) — The All-Goa inter-village Arpora- Nagoa panchayat soccer tournament organized by Arpora Sporting Club will be held from May 4 2010 at Salt Lake ground, Arpora. The winners up will be awarded Rs 25,000 and the runners-up Rs 15,000 besides trophies and other cash prizes.
The tournament will be held as per GFA s rules for private tournament. Teams registered with GFA may contact Babli Mandrekar on 9923184788.
3-a-side tie-breaker soccer
PANJIM (HSD) — The 3-a-side tie-breaker soccer organised by Youth of Grande Morod, Saligao will be held on May 3 at Grande Morod, Saligao from 7 p.m on the occasion of Santa Cruz Chapel feast. Rs 6,000 (winners), Rs 4,000 (runners up) will be awarded. Details may be obtained from Wilfred on 9637557450.

Vasco Club trials
MAPUSA (HSR) — The Vasco Sports Club football scholarship moved into the second week at Chowgule ground, Margao. The batch will start on May 5 and end on May 8 (4.30 to 6 op.m.).
Vasco are planning to select players from this trial for U-18 and U-20 age groups. The scholarship is a collaboration with Chowgule College.
Vasco Academy manager, Richard Hood speaking to Herald said, “This is a great chance for boys to keep their dream alive of playing professional football. At the same time their educational needs have to be taken care of, so their career options away from football will also be looked into.”
Vasco are currently in contention for this season’s GFA U-20 crown, the senior team is looking to qualify for next season’s I-League.
