Great Escape on Saturday
PANJIM (HSD) — The 60th Mahindra Great Escape-Goa will be flagged off on August 7 at 9 a.m. from Majestic Hotel, Porvorim. The non-competitive adventure drive will conclude at Majestic Hotel at 2 p.m.
Coconut breaking at Caranzalem
PANJIM (HSD) – An all-Goa coconut breaking contest will be held on August 8 at Caranzalem at 10 a.m. Rs 5555 (winners), Rs 2222 (runners-up) will be awarded. Spot entries will be accepted. Details may be obtained from Cruz Sequeira on 9850845488.

Off Trail trek on Sunday
PANJIM (HSD) — The Off Trail Adventure will organise a nature lovers moderate trek on August 8 to a forest waterfall deep in the wilderness of Cotigao Wild Life sanctuary in Canacona. It involves two-and-half hours one way plain walking through dense forests, and finally a steep climb to reach the natural waterfall.
The pick up in Panjim, will be below Mandovi Bridge, near Santa Monica Cruises at 7 a.m. then at 8 a.m. at Mabai Hotel, Margao. Details may be obtained from Bianca Dias on 9960054428.
