Goa girls in finals, boys in semis

Goa girls defeated Vidarba by 37 runs to enter the finals of 15th Sub-junior tennis ball cricket organised by Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association in collaboration with SAG at Nehru stadium, Margao on Saturday.
Vidarba scored 37 runs in 8 overs. Melissa of Goa took 3 wickets. In reply, Goa scored the required runs in 4.4 overs. For Goa, Dhanashree topscored with 11, followed by Dixita and Pooja 6 each. Goa will meet AIIB in the finals on Sunday.
Earlier in the quarter-finals, Goa trounced Rajasthan by 9 wickets. Rajasthan scored 57 for 5 in 8 overs. In reply, Goa achieved the target losing 1 wicket.
In the boys section, Goa defeated Rajasthan by 28 runs to move into the semi-finals. Batting first, Goa scored 61 for 5. For Goa, Subham topscored with 29, Atish 24. In reply, Rajasthan were 33 all out. Suyash claimed 3 for 9 while Gourish and Tushant snatched 2 wickets each for Goa.
