Goa girls in semis

Hosts Goa girls booked their place in the quarter-final knock-out stage of 20th Sub Junior National Baseball Championship organized by Goa Baseball Association in association with Baseball Federation of India at PJN ground, Fatorda on Sunday.
In the last league match, Goa girls hammered Haryana 13-0 homes scoring their second consecutive one-sided victory. For Goa, Karishma Gaude, Anuja Budhalkar, Gauri Padkar and Sneha Bhomkar excelled.
Goa boys also scored their second successive win in the league tournament scoring a 15-0 homes victory over Maharashtra. For Goa, Ganesh Sudhir, Amey Shetya, Vaishnav Pednekar and Jayesh Gaude played well. Goa will play their last league match against Jharkhand.
Results: Boys – Delhi bt. Kerala 10-0, Orissa bt. Chandigarh 5-4, Delhi bt. Bihar 13-0, Goa bt. Maharashtra 15-0, Bihar bt. Assam 15-7, Tamil Nadu drew with West Bengal 4-4, Chandgarh bt. Uttarakhand 13-6, Chattisgarh bt. West Bengal 10-0, Chattisgarh bt. Jammu & Kashmir 11-0.
Girls: Orissa bt. Andhra Pradesh 10-0, Delhi bt. Assam 10-0, Chandigarh bt. Manipur 11-0, Madhya Pradesh bt. Maharashtra 8-3, Goa bt. Harayana 13-0.
