PANJIM: Goa Police thumped Clube Sao Minguel De Taleigao 5-1 in the GENO First Division League organised by Goa Football Association (GFA) played at Sirsaim ground, on Saturday.
The Police side began the game on a positive note as they managed to break through a weak Taleigao defence and score early on in the 17th minute itself.
Shaikh Mouzam scored the goal while later he scored the second goal in the 37th minute as they lead 2-0 at half time.
The second half was no different in terms of possession and play as the police added a goal through Miling Shinde in the 47th minute.
Shaikh Mouzam completed his hat-trick in the 55th minute while Milind added his second goal two minutes later.
Valentino Nazzareth pulled one goal down for the Taleigao side in the final additional minute but an overall play by the Goa Police was enough for them to secure all points.
