RAIA: The Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI), in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs and Sports Authority of Goa, will hold the 14th Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships 2025 from October 31 to November 2, at the Peddem Indoor Stadium, Mapusa, from 10 am.
The premier international sporting event will bring together the finest acrobatic gymnasts from across Asia and marks a historic milestone, as the Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships will be hosted in India for the very first time – a proud moment for the nation and a major boost to India’s growing prominence on the international gymnastics stage.
The championship will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant in the presence of Sports Secretary Santosh Sukhadeve, IAS, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs and Sports Authority of Goa Executive Director Dr Ajay Gaude, Asian Gymnastics Union Technical President Aigul Dukenbayeva, Gymnastics Federation of India President Sudhir Mital, Vice-President D C Prabhakar, top international officials, coaches and athletes.
Asian Gymnastics Union Technical President Aigul Dukenbayeva expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “The Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships represent the spirit of unity, artistry, and athletic excellence that defines our sport. We are delighted to see India and Goa host this prestigious event, which will not only inspire young gymnasts but also strengthen the foundation of acrobatics across Asia.”
Gymnastics Federation of India President Sudhir Mital shared his thoughts on the event’s significance, stating, “Hosting the 14th Acrobatic Gymnastics Asian Championships 2025 is a proud moment for India. This championship underlines our commitment to nurturing gymnastics talent and creating more opportunities for our athletes to perform on the global stage. Goa’s world-class infrastructure and vibrant sporting culture make it the perfect venue for this international event.”
The championship aims to showcase the best of acrobatic gymnastics through three days of intense competition, world-class performances, and cultural exchange. It promises to be a spectacular celebration of strength, artistry, and teamwork, reinforcing India’s growing reputation as a hub for international sporting excellence.
Over the course of the competition, audiences will witness stunning displays of balance, coordination and creativity as gymnasts perform complex routines that demand both precision and power.
The event will feature top athletes, coaches, officials, and delegates from across Asia, making it one of the most dynamic gymnastics spectacles ever hosted in Goa.
