PANJIM: Goan Football Club scored resounding 10-0 win over Arpora Sporting in the GFA U-14 League match, played at Siolim ground, on Monday.
Rohan Mangaonkar was the stand out player for the young Gaurs in the one sided game. The striker with his space and incredible game reading ability scored two goals in the first half and completed his hat-trick in the 41st minute. Arpora Sporting were totally outplayed by Goan FC in all aspects of the game.
Vedant Naik also impressed for the Gaurs netting two goals and providing three assists. Shlok Kana and Clison Furtado better two goals each for the winners and Rishi T was the other goal scorer for the young Gaurs.
In another match played at Sanquelim ground, Siddeshwar SC won five-goal thriller as they defeated Sesa FA.
Manthan Karnalkar opened the scoring for Siddeshwar SC in the fourth minute but Sesa came back strongly and levelled terms in the 19th minute though Jose Dias.
The scores were tied 1-1 at the break. Crossing over, M Karnalkar scored once again in the 48th minute but Sesa had different plans as they played attacking game and drew level though Joyston Rodrigues but Manthan Karnalkar yet proved his worth by scoring a 68th minute match winner to give his team three points
In another match at Anjuna ground, Kelbai SC and Anjuna Gymkhana played out a 2-2 draw. Sagun Chondankar and Kris Shirodhkar scored for Kelbai, while Sahil Gadekar and Shopan netted for Anjuna Gymkhana.
