RAIA: In a thrilling finale of inter-ward football tournament organised by Cana-Benaulim Village Panchayat, Good Angels Sports Club triumphed over UC of Benaulim with a narrow 1-0 win, at the SAG ground Vaddie ground, Benaulim, recently.
The decisive goal was netted by Levy in the 20th minute. Despite relentless efforts and several close attempts, UC Benaulim was unable to penetrate the robust defence of Good Angels.
The tension remained high throughout the game, with both teams showcasing exceptional skill and determination.
Cana-Benaulim Sarpanch Xavier Pereira graced the event as the chief guest, alongside Nicholas Rodrigues and other panch members, who presented the awards.
