CURCHOREM: In an exciting and fast paced football match, Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem registered a 7-0 win over Vivekanand HSS, Balli to cruise into the semi-finals of Zone IV Higher Secondary School football tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Panchayat ground, Xeldem-Tilamol, on Tuesday.
Earlier Guardian Angel defeated Government HSS, Canacona 2-0.
In another match St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim defeated Pope John XXIII HSS, Quepem 3-0 via tie-breaker and entered the semi-finals of Zone IV. The match was tied 3-3 at the end of regular time.
Both the semi-finals matches will be played on Wednesday between Guardian Angel and St Alex and the second match between Damodar HSS, Gudi Paroda and Cuncolim United HSS.
