RAIA: Guardian Angel Sports Club down Betalbatim Sporting Club, 3-2, in a thrilling match of the Fernando Abranches Memorial Trophy 2025, organised by United Club of Verna, at the Verna Panchayat ground.
Jason Dias and Aliton Furtado gave Guardian Angel an early 2-0 lead in the 5th and 22nd minutes. Jason Dias struck again in the second half, completing his brace and 3-0 for Guardian Angel SC in the 37th minutes.
Betalbatim too netted two goals through Aniston Fernandes in the 37th minute and Jesus Ferrao in the 45th minute but fell short of an equaliser.
Jason Dias of Guardian Angel Sports Club was named star of the match, with the award presented by United Club of Verna President Luis Vas in the presence of Claton Pinho.
