BETALBATIM: Guardian Angel SC defeated St Anthony Assolda SC 6-1 to storm into the quarter-finals of the Late Joao Francisco Pacheco Memorial football tournament organised by Betalbatim Sports Club, at Betalbatim Sports complex, on Saturday.
Kanchan Keiro for Guardian Angel displayed moves of supreme quality and scored goals with perfections, scoring a hatrick, even though he lost a chance in the 6th minute as Brian rolled the ball to him but Sevraj D’Costa of Guardian Angel thwarted his move inside the box.
Kanchan Keiro’s left footed effort was squandered as he shot wide in the 7th minute. St Anthony SC Assolda should have taken the advantage of the situation through Daren Fernandes as a mix up in the Guardian Angel SC box took place in the 8th minute as the defender who took control of the ball failed to clear the ball to safety the ball fell to Daren who shot wide.

Kanchan Keiro later scored his brace and 4-0 for Guardian Angel in the 40th minute and completed hat trick for Guardian Angel in the 45th minute, taking the score to 5-0.
Brian Faria made it 6-0 for Guardian Angel SC in the 60th minute.
St Anthony SC Assolda scored a consolation goal back through Joecan Vaz in the 65th minute of Succor Fernandes connect.
Guardian Angel SC will meet the winners of CAC Cansaulim and Cuncolim Union in the quarter-finals on August 10.
Earlier, Brazzi Pacheco grandson of Late Joao Francisco Pacheco inagurated the tournament.
